🏕️SAVE THE DATES!🏕️

for BRAMBA's Annual Trip to Oak Mountain!

🚵🏼Quadzilla is coming!🚵🏻‍♀️

November 1-5, 2023

(Wednesday thru Sunday)

What is Quadzilla?! This is BRAMBA’s Members only annual fall camping trip to the Birmingham Alabama area where we ride 4 different amazing trails systems!

Join for all or some! Either way you’re gonna have fun and ride some cool trails!

We normally set up base camp at Oak Mountain but they will be doing some renovations this year and have closed the campgrounds for the fall. Our new base camp will be at Cheaha State park. At this state park, aside from campsites - they also have RV hook ups, cabins, and a hotel!

BRAMBA has already reserved 11 tent sites (2 tents per site allowed). RV hook ups are limited so please do make your reservation SOON! Some of us that have rented RVs in the past opted for the hotel to make sure there was room for those of you bringing your own RVs.

The tent sites we have reserved are in the primitive section. The “improved camp sites” appear to be just RV sites. The shower access is 5.00 per person (don’t know yet if this is per day or length of stay). Those of us with hotel rooms can share our showers as well. Another reason for early headcount is that when we can actually get someone on the phone, we may be able to negotiate a deal on this.

BONUS! This state park is at the highest elevation in the state and we are told the sunsets are spectacular!

The 4 systems we will ride:

Tannehill, Coldwater, Lake Howard and Oak Mountain. Information on these trail systems can be found below.

Of course more details will come later, but we would like to start getting an idea of a headcount so we can let go of some of the sites that aren’t needed.

Tannehill State Park in Birmingham.

Not a technical trail - 11 mile loop of smooth, fast, flowy fun!

We usually stop on the way there (and sometimes on the way back

Oak Mountain State Park in Birmingham

(many distance options available)

Cold Water Mountain in Anniston

10-20+ mile ride options

Sylaward Trail at Lake Howard
